London Vegfest 2015

The VBB crew
The London Vegfest was at a larger part of the Olympia this year, so we were all eager to see the new venue.  Our day started off with a disaster.  A crack had been found on the train line so all the trains were delayed while they detoured around the damaged area.  We ended up turning up a little late.  If any of you missed us by turning up too early we are sorry. We eventually made it to the event & quickly set up.
The show was amazingly full!  There were queues outside all morning with people waiting hours to get in.  Inside the venue was a mass of people all keen to discover what new vegan goodie they could experiment with. The whole weekend was exceptionally busy & every trader I talked to said they did well over the weekend.

Food
Vegan Sweet tooth
We sampled a few choice things from the fancies supplied by Vegan Sweet Tooth, vegan caviar (apparently it contains seaweed - having never had caviar before I couldn't tell you if it was close?), through to lasagne & loads more!

Next came the popular shoulder press contest.  At first I thought we had gone to the wrong place as we had over 300 people waiting to watch the contest!  It was exciting to see so many people interested in fitness & health coming to see vegans show off their stuff. The contest was lifting a dumbbell for as many times as possible.  Females lift 7Kg while the males lift 15Kg.

Sponsors
As usual we had a few sponsors for the event.  Everyone always gets a prize when they enter the contest, so whether someone is the overall winner, or not, they will still go home with something nice. If you are need of any of the products they sell remember to support them if you can.

Final Points
The London vegfest is perhaps the busiest event of the year for us. It is a full-on weekend for us to keep everything moving.  Hopefully you all had a good time at the event & managed to pick up a few new food ideas & some bargains.
After the event we trundled home with Dave having the honour of carrying the 'special bag'
bag of wee
If you've ever had a child use a disposable potty bag you'll know what's in this! Notice the woman behind actually holding her poor nose!!!

As usual at the bottom I will put the sponsors again along with people who entered the contest getting their prizes. Try to support the sponsors as they make the contests possible....& buy the chip butty vegan cook book as it will make Maz happy!!!!
