 Intro

Maz looking 'chirpy' on the stall :-)

It was another mega-early start for us southerners to make the trip 'up north'.  So it was a chill 4AM start for us as we set off towards the festival!

It was a close thing getting the train connection from London to Wolves, but thankfully with a minute left we just made the connection!

 Vegan Fitness

This year we had the guys & gals from Vegan Fitness on the very next stall.  As Vegan Fitness was originally started with & by members of the (still functioning) Vegan Bodybuilding email list, it felt rather like our little baby, all grown up coming back to visit :-)

Vegan Fitness crew (better beards than Vegan Bodybuilding :-(  )

On the stall we had a dynamometer to test strength test of the day was to see if we had any vegans north of London that could max out our little grip testing device - as it turns out we had one, Mitch, who is on his way to becoming the first pro-vegan bodybuilder in the UK, nice one Mitch!

 The Viridian Dynamometer contest

We also ran a squeeze the dynamometer (grip measuring device).  The idea was to give a prize of a Viridian supplement to anyone who could squeeze more than 110Kg (the max of the device).  After a day of testing only Alex 'Mitch' Mitchell managed to beat the device & got a viridian gift for his lady.

 Vegan health & fitness magazine

Also on the stall was our first outing selling the brand new Vegan Health & fitness magazine, which is a great read for anyone into health, fitness & being vegan.

on one side & my awesome new strength shop shaker

 Strength Shop shaker

It was my first 'test drive' with my new shaker.  Strength Shop is a vegan exercise equipment store in the UK.  As I wanted a steel shaker for ages (plastic one are rubbish), I was pumped to try it out.  It was even better than I expect & mixed my shake perfectly.  I'll be writing a more detailed review on the blog (I'll put a link here when that's done), but for now here's a closer look at the shaker.

Vegan Fitness rowing contest

Meanwhile next door Vegan Fitness were getting the crowd warmed up with their 500 metre rowing competition.

I'm not sure who won the rowing event, so if you know email me & let me know!

The Talk

Alex 'Mitch' Mitchell did a talk at the event.  I couldn't go as someone had to do the stall, but here is the talk for you all to enjoy.

The festival

The festival was really starting to fill up, as much, if not more than the London events!

I had just bought a new digital camera so I decided to test out the panoramic setting & see if I could get in a shot or two of the whole scene - what do you think?

It's not a complete 360 degrees as I was in a corner, but it was about 180 degrees of camera spin (I love new tech :-).

I reckon it must have been about 3,000+ at this show as it was rammed all day with people & quite a few seemed to be brand new to the vegan world, which was great to see.

Final bits

That was about it for our day.  We had to pack up the stall & rush to get a train home (along with Many Wolves football supporters - that's football with a round ball for all you slightly confused US people).  It was an great day out that I recommend to anyone who wants to come along as there really is something for everyone during the day.

As usual I'll put some pictures of people getting their prizes along with the sponsors of our contest again.  Support them, so they can support us!  Hopefully see you all in December for the Animal Aid Christmas Fayre
